The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Christian faith community with over 21 million members worldwide which includes more than one million members in North America.
Seventh-day Adventist beliefs are meant to permeate your whole life. Growing out of scriptures that paint a compelling portrait of God, you are invited to explore, experience and know the One who desires to make us whole.
“We are a vibrant Christian community! Also a culturally diverse body of disciples from many "nations, kindred, tongue, and people (Rev 14:6)" but are one family in Christ our Lord. There are a nice distribution of age groups with many families with children, and teenagers.
The name Seventh-day Adventist reflects the beliefs of the church in three words. "Seventh-day" refers to the biblical Sabbath of rest which was graciously given by God to humankind at creation and observed by Jesus during His incarnation. "Adventist" indicates the assurance of the soon return (advent) of Jesus to this earth. Together the name speaks of the gospel which is salvation in Jesus Christ.
The church is served through its administration of 13 world divisions and two attached fields. No matter where you find a Seventh-day Adventist believer, you will find them adhering to the ideals described by the Bible. Their lives will illustrate both faith in God and the church's commitment to the betterment of all human beings.
